Agata Kieliszek awarded a Research Training Award from Canadian Cancer Society
Agata Kieliszek, Postdoctoral Fellow, in the Singh lab won one of the Research and Training awards at the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) for her work in the “Developing novel, potent, and brain permeable inhibitors of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase to prevent brain metastases.” The funding is co-supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research – Institute of Cancer Research.
According to the CCS website, “this award is intended to support growth and innovation in the next generation of diverse cancer researchers across Canada at the Master’s, Doctoral and Postdoctoral levels. It will support individuals in conducting cancer related research while fostering long term connections with Canada’s cancer research ecosystem through a combination of exposures to other disciplines, knowledge translation, engagement, and mentorship opportunities.”
